I came home from a yucky workday to find a USPS notice of attempted delivery, and seeing Scooter's father's and his partner's names as the senders, says to myself, He didn't!
I could hardly wait to get to the post office this morning, and was even more giddy on the way home to open the package.
Remember this from the 2008 Minnesota State Fair? Scooter's dad, Carl, heard my not-so-subtle hint, and behold! He brings us great joy with this here gayest of gay quilts, featuring the most hottest and shirtless firemen, construction workers, cowboys and lumberjacks you've ever slept with. I. LOVE. IT.
I didn't want to cut up the guys so used a design where I could keep them off the chopping block as much as possible. Also when I quilted it, Jon [Carl's partner] says I "kept the boys unspoiled" by not quilting over them.
And on the reverse are dancing hibiscus ladies.
Thank you, Carl. I'll sleep well tonight, and for many nights to...
